Macleay Valley Sports Strategy

Consultation has concluded

The draft Macleay Valley Sports Strategy has been developed following an online survey and workshops with over 25 sports groups combined with desk top research.

The draft Strategy is now on public exhibition until 24th April 2017 and the community are being asked to have their say. Council want your feedback on the future of sport, the facilities needed and Council's role in managing sport in coming years.

The document contains a number of recommendations within the Action Plan including creating a shire wide Sports Council, a new sports complex at South West Rocks, a sporting event space in Kempsey and allowance for a Council resource to manage sports bookings, relationships and promotion.

Having a say is simple!

Following review of the community feedback a final Macleay Valley Sports Strategy will be presented to Council.
