Kempsey Shire Council is currently preparing a concept plan for the Middleton Street Corridor between Lachlan Street and West Street.

 The concept plan follows closely the concept developed in the One Community One Mob Plan and aims to significantly improve public spaces for the South Kempsey neighbourhood. This includes:

-Pedestrian Access and safety

-Traffic movements and road safety

-Landscape beautification and community based art. 

The plan seeks to improve connectivity, safety and amenity in ways that support local culture and community.
