The Macleay Valley Coast Holiday Parks (MVCHP) are an important social and economic feature of our coastal villages. They are a business where the footprint merges with community space and they have potential to raise revenue that can be reinvested into those community spaces and the surrounding Council managed crown lands of our coastal foreshores.

This community and commercial relationship means it’s important that Council seek to find a balance between decision making that is business orientated and that which has a community impact.

Council has appointed specialist company Locale’ consulting to prepare the economic and social impact assessments required for the review of annual licences within the Holiday Parks at Grassy Head, Stuarts Point, Hat Head and Crescent Head.

Speaking to license holders, businesses, visitors and the broader community will be an important part of this work.

  • Businesses will be sent an economic survey and offered meeting times
  • Annual license holders will be contacted directly for their feedback on that part of the work
  • Holiday Park Managers will send a survey link to recent visitors to ask for their thoughts

During September and October 2020 Locale’ will also work with our community to understand your expectations for future development of our Holiday Parks.

You can read about and have your say on the individual projects or book at time to meet with the consultants at each Holiday Park by going to the destination pages:
