Crescent Head Holiday Park

Council has engaged an external consultant to do an assessment of the social and economic impact of annual licence sites within the holiday parks and to engage more broadly with the community on the future use and facilities for the Shire's five holiday parks.

Set between the stunning river and beach at Crescent Head, this slice of paradise is a relaxing waterfront getaway found on the Macleay Valley Coast. Located an easy 40 minutes from Kempsey, Crescent Head Holiday Park overlooks one of the most legendary right-hand surf breaks in the world. Surrounded by natural beauty including spectacular coastal national parks, endless bushwalking trails, great fishing and whale watching, the park is the perfect escape, leaving you and the whole family refreshed.

If you have a passion for Crescent Head, live there or holiday there we want to hear from you!

Have your say before 18 October 2020 on how Crescent Head Holiday Park may be improved in the future.

There are two key ways in which you can have your say:

This survey is for individual community members and passionate local holiday makers. The consultant will directly contact local businesses and community groups to get their thoughts. Annual licence holders and recent park guests will be sent links to separate surveys so that their unique experiences can be understood.

The results of this work will be presented back to Council's Commercial Business team to review and plan the next steps for presenting long term improvement plans and park layouts to Council in 2021. The feedback will also help with developing Plans of Management for the Crown Reserves that the holiday parks are within, as well as guide other polices and long-term directions.

Council have unveiled the first six of twelve new holiday cabins at Crescent Head Holiday Park, with the first guests checking in on Friday 18 September.

The new cabins provide a much-needed upgrade to the Crescent Head Holiday Park replacing the cabins closest to the Reception building in the Oceanside precinct.

The cabins have been installed in a phased roll out to ensure some were open in time for the September 2020 school holidays.
