We want to know your thoughts on the plans being proposed for the South West Rocks High Performance Centre.


Overview

The community are invited to provide feedback on proposed plans for the South West Rocks High Performance Centre (HPC) Master Plan.

The proposed plan includes the following:

Extended car park

  • Utilise space from relocated cricket nets (23 car spaces)

Public and golf course footpath

  • Replace existing access to outside earthworks batters
  • Fence High Performance Centre sports field area
  • New link footpaths

High Performance Centre entry area plaza

  • Removal of existing building
  • Incorporating footpath congregation with tick gates to link to a turning space

Ambulance location

  • Clear of activities
  • On ground level with shade

Storage facilities

  • Multiple locations and configurations
  • Consideration given to options that minimise resident impacts
  • Minor drainage and grading

Retain existing slope

  • Future terraced seating
  • Shade tree planning

Existing sheds

  • To be removed

How was this plan developed?

Kempsey Shire Council has engaged with High Performance Centre Steering Committee and SWR Sport and Recreation Association on the development of this plan. This was to gather their feedback, listen to any concerns and to consider the future needs of the community in the develop of the South West Rocks High Performance Centre Master Plan.

Residents were also engaged in relations to the proposed fixed / temporary fencing options being considered around the parameter of the sports fields.

The masterplan has been fully funded for the development of the plans.

Delivery of the items within the plan are NOT currently funded. Future funding opportunities sourced by Council staff or Community groups will be needed to complete these works.
