Stuarts Point Holiday Park

Council has appointed an external consultant to do an assessment of the social and economic impact of annual licence sites within the Macleay Valley Coast Holiday Parks and to engage more broadly with the community on future options for the Shire's five holiday parks.
A $3.4 million upgrade to the Stuarts Point Foreshore Reserve which was funded through grants and Council contributions, has seen major improvements to the recreation facilities adjoining the Holiday Park.
As part of this upgrade, Council started planning for additional development and considering the future of annual license sites. Submissions received in 2019 supported the appointment of a consultant to assess social and economic impact of holiday vans; identify future site plans and begin collating feedback to be included within the Plans of Management Council are required to develop.
That next phase of engagement, supported by an external consultant is now underway and we need to hear from you.
Have your say before 18 October 2020 on how Stuarts Point Holiday Park may be improved in the future.
There are two key ways in which you can have your say:
This survey is for individual community members and passionate local holiday makers. The consultant will directly contact local businesses and community groups to get their thoughts. Recent park guests will be sent links to separate surveys so that their unique experiences can be understood. Annual license holders will also be contacted separately to better understand their unique use of the Park.
The results of this work will be presented back to Council's Commercial Business team to review and plan the next steps for presenting long term improvement plans and park layouts to Council in 2021. The feedback will also help with developing Plans of Management for the Crown Reserves that the holiday parks are within, as well as guide other polices and long-term directions.
