Latest Update

Our community is currently facing a challenging time, with so many impacted by the recent flood. In light of this, we’ve made the decision to postpone the upcoming engagement sessions. We will advise on new dates as soon as possible. You can view updates below and/or keep an eye out for updates via the Kempsey Shire Council Facebook page.

Next Steps

After consulting the Crescent Head Advisory Group and the community in November-December 2024 and throughout early 2025, Council has now developed updated Concept Plans for Crescent Head’s Foreshore and Willow Street precincts.

The updated Concept Plans include exciting upgrades such as new nature-based playgrounds, a skate and scooter park, shaded picnic areas, and improved beach and creek access. Community feedback has been heard, with the retention of foreshore car parking reflected in the design, as well as the extended carpark option for community consideration.

The plans provide for markets, improved pedestrian circulation, and stronger connections between key areas like Willow Street, Main Street, and Little Nobby promoting all round improved safety.

  • Have Your Say Survey – Revised Draft Concept Designs

    Thank you for your interest in the revised draft concept design for the Crescent Head Foreshore and Willow Street Community spaces. We are grateful for the feedback provided by the community in late 2024 on the initial working draft concept plans. This feedback has now been reviewed by the Community Advisory Group (CAG) with Council staff, and the concept designs have been updated to reflect the views received.
