Welcome to MacleayLink - a place to share information!

MacleayLink is a community information hub created by Kempsey Shire Council to inform and connect community groups, service providers and individuals of the Macleay Valley with resources, opportunities and information that may be valuable to you, your clients or your stakeholders.

Examples of what can be shared include: grants and funding opportunities, training and workshops, community service provider network meetings, sponsorship opportunities, competitions, State and Federal community education information and awareness campaigns, awards nominations and expressions of interest.

  • All submissions will be moderated for appropriate content (political, offensive or sensitive information will not be approved)
  • We will aim to action your submission within 2-5 business days
  • Use images to help your post stand out
  • Tagging your submission will allow it to be categorised and searched for in a meaningful way (limit tags to 4 please)

  • My Health Record After Hours Community Information Sessions

    The North Coast Primary Health Network's My Health Record team are hosting an after hours event at the Town Green Inn to provide essential information about the online health summary before the end of the opt out period on Thursday 15 November 2018.

    Come along to learn about how it works, what you can do with it and how to make it work best for you. Light refreshments are supplied.

    Macleay Valley residents are invited to attend the My Health Record information Session taking place on Monday 12 November 2018 at Town Green Inn, Port Macquarie from 5:30pm – 7:00pm.

  • Kempsey Community Suicide Prevention

    Kempsey Community Suicide Prevention is proudly supported by the Department of Health as one of four trial sites under the North Coast Primary Health Network (NCPHN) and BlackDog Institute Lifespan Trial.

    We are currently situated at Macleay Valley Workplace Learning Centre in South Kempsey, and are implementing a community based approach to Prevention, Early Intervention and Sustainable Wellbeing of our Kempsey Community.

    If you are 15 to 21 years old and are not sure where you are heading, or need help getting some skills and finding a job, TtW is for you! The program is tailored to your individual needs and features a range of workshops for you to choose from.

    Scouts Australia NSW provides young Aussies with fun and challenging opportunities to grow through adventure.

    With over 17,000 youth and adult members from various cultural and religious backgrounds and with varying abilities, Scouts is one of the largest and most successful youth organisations in the state.

    1st Kempsey Scout Group invites young people from all over the Macleay Valley to join the organisation. There are three divisions determined by age - 'Joeys' for 5 to 8 year olds, 'Cubs' for 9 to 11 year olds and 'Scouts' for 12 to 14 year olds.

    1st Kempsey Scoup Group is led by adult leaders and Scouts Australia NSW and offers a great range of fun indoor and outdoor activities.

    Via the website you can use Savings Finder to identify rebates and savings relevant to your specific needs. You can also meet with a Cost of Living Specialist for a free one hour appointment to get help applying for savings. Booking an appointment will ensure you don't miss an opportunity to save.

  • Grants Available for NSW Organisations Supporting the LGBTIQ Community

    The 2018 Aurora Group Grants Round is now open and calling for applications from organisations across NSW.

    Aurora's Small Grants are for projects up to the value of $7,500 and must begin in early 2019 and be able to wrap up by October 2019.

    This year, Aurora are also delighted to add two new Special Grants with the generous support of PWC Australia and Westpac. These new Special Grants are $5000 each year over two years (valued at $10,000 in total), targeted towards vulnerable groups in our community.

    For nearly 20 years, The Aurora Group has supported the NSW LGBTIQ community by raising funds to disperse to worthy projects across NSW. To date, Aurora has given over $900,000 and looks forward to adding to that amount again this year.

    The 2018-19 Grants Program is open for applications until 5pm Monday 5 November 2018.
